| The Hong Kong Shinkyokushinkai was established in September, 2003. It has joined the World Karate Organization Shinkyokushinkai as it’s Hong Kong branch in March, 2005. The Hong Kong Shinkyokushinkai is a non-profit making organization composed of a committee which consists of a group of members who are strongly inspired by Kyokushin Karate. By pursuing the Martial Way, we hope to develop Kyokushin Karate among the new generation of Hong Kong with the spirit to cultivate the body and mind of every student’s, so as to inspire their self-esteem and concern for others.

| We adopt the same curriculum as the World Karate Organization Shinkyokushinkai and teach in both Cantonese and English. All students will be granted a membership card from The World Karate Organization Shinkyokushinkai, enabling them to practice in local dojo throughout the world. Through our regular internal and open tournaments, students could challenge themselves for improvement in techniques, physical strengths and determination. Students with outstanding performance will be referred to represent Hong Kong to participate in international tournaments. We also strive to implement globalization by recruiting students from all over the world regardless of age, gender and race. We presently have students with age from four to over fifty. Eric WAN When Eric was studying abroad at London, his Japanese friend introduced and brought him to Sensei Graham Warden’s Bethal Green Dojo on Feb 1994, he has been inspired by it ever since. After graduating from the university, he returned to Hong Kong and continued his training at Sensei Tashiro Shoichi’s Sogo dojo in Causeway Bay from November 1996. On 1st October, 2001, he passed his black belt first Dan examination at the headquarters dojo in Osaka, Japan. Eric is the first local Hong Kong Chinese to have granted a Kyokushin black belt. He established his Kowloon dojo in year 2003. Through the recommendation of Shihan Yasuhiro Yamasaki, the dojo has become an affiliate to the World Karate Organization Shinkyokushinkai, with Eric being the holder of the Hong Kong Branch in March 2005. On 17th October, 2007, he passed his black belt Second Dan examination at the International Grading Examination in Tokyo, Japan, with a mission to develop the Kyokushin spirit and full contact style karate throughout Hong Kong.
